According to a meteorological department official, the summer capital recorded a low of 22.4\u00b0C, indicating a deviation of 6.6\u00b0C from the previous night. Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, witnessed a low of 20.0\u00b0C, which was 5.7\u00b0C higher than normal. Pahalgam, the renowned tourist resort in south Kashmir, recorded a low of 13.3\u00b0C, marking a deviation of 4.2\u00b0C above normal. Kupwara town experienced a low of 19.6\u00b0C, surpassing normal levels by 5.5\u00b0C. Kokernag recorded a low of 20.0\u00b0C, exceeding normal levels by 5.9\u00b0C. Gulmarg, the famous skiing destination, had a low of 14.4\u00b0C, which was 4.2\u00b0C above normal. In Jammu, the winter capital, temperatures settled at a low of 28.5\u00b0C, exceeding normal levels by 2.4\u00b0C. Banihal, Batote, Katra, and Bhaderwah also experienced variations in temperatures. Leh and Kargil in Ladakh recorded lows of 12.0\u00b0C and 15.8\u00b0C, respectively. The meteorological department forecasted isolated light rain\/thundershowers in the Kashmir division and widespread light to moderate rain\/thundershowers in the Jammu division for the next 24 hours.
