The meteorological department reported that Srinagar recorded a low of 20.5\u00b0C, surpassing the previous night\u2019s temperature of 19.7\u00b0C, marking an above-normal deviation of 4.79\u00b0C for the summer capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Qazigund recorded a low of 17.2\u00b0C, slightly below the previous night\u2019s temperature of 17.4\u00b0C, but still above the normal by 2.9\u00b0C for the gateway town of Kashmir. Pahalgam, the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir\u2019s Anantnag district, recorded a low of 11.3\u00b0C, exceeding the previous night\u2019s temperature of 10.6\u00b0C and deviating by 2.2\u00b0C above the normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 17.4\u00b0C, higher than the previous night\u2019s temperature of 16.5\u00b0C, resulting in an above-normal deviation of 3.3\u00b0C for the north Kashmir region. Kokernag recorded a low of 17.7\u00b0C, just below the previous night\u2019s temperature of 18.0\u00b0C, but still 3.6\u00b0C above normal for the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulmarg, the world-famous skiing resort in north Kashmir\u2019s Baramulla district, recorded a low of 13.5\u00b0C, slightly lower than the previous night\u2019s temperature of 13.6\u00b0C but still above normal by 3.8\u00b0C. Jammu, the winter capital of J&amp;K, recorded a low of 27.8\u00b0C, a decrease from the previous night\u2019s temperature of 30.5\u00b0C, but still 4.7\u00b0C above normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other regions in Jammu and Kashmir also experienced above-normal night temperatures, including Banihal, Batote, Katra, and Bhaderwah. Ladakh\u2019s Leh and Kargil recorded lows of 5.2\u00b0C and 13.4\u00b0C, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forecast indicates mainly dry weather until June 23, with a possibility of brief showers and thunderstorms in one or two places towards late afternoon or evening. From June 24-28, generally cloudy weather with intermittent light to moderate thundershowers at fairly widespread places has been predicted.
