Senior advocate Harish Salve brought the matter to urgent attention before a bench consisting of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice P S Narasimha. Salve informed the court that the petition challenges the ban imposed by the West Bengal government, as well as the &#8220;de-facto&#8221; ban in Tamil Nadu. The bench had previously fixed May 15 to hear a separate plea against the Kerala High Court&#8217;s decision to reject a stay on the film&#8217;s release.
