Srinagar, May 10: Jammu and Kashmir experienced below-normal night temperatures on Wednesday amidst the forecast of mainly dry weather. The meteorological department stated that the weather is likely to remain dry until May 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, from May 13-15, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in isolated areas of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of temperature, Srinagar recorded a low of 6.4\u00b0C, which is 4.3\u00b0C below the normal for the summer capital. Similarly, Qazigund registered a low of 4.0\u00b0C, below normal by 5.2\u00b0C for the gateway town of Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pahalgam, the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 0.3\u00b0C, which is 5.8\u00b0C below normal. Kupwara town settled at 4.2\u00b0C, 5.1\u00b0C below normal for the north Kashmir region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other temperature readings include Kokernag at 4.9\u00b0C (4.9\u00b0C below normal), Gulmarg at 1.0\u00b0C (4.2\u00b0C below normal), Jammu at 15.8\u00b0C (7.2\u00b0C below normal), Banihal at 8.4\u00b0C (2.5\u00b0C below normal), Batote at 9.7\u00b0C (3.1\u00b0C below normal), Katra at 15.0\u00b0C (4.7\u00b0C below normal), and Bhaderwah at 6.0\u00b0C (3.6\u00b0C below normal). Leh in Ladakh recorded a low of minus 3.8\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
