The Examination which was scheduled to be \nconducted from June 1, 2020, has been postponed due to the lockdown.&nbsp; \nAccording to media reports, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nageshwar \nRao, made the confirmation regarding the postponement of the Term End \nExamination in a Facebook live conducted on the official Facebook page \nof IGNOU.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vice-Chancellor in his Facebook Live session also added that the \nnew schedule of the June Term End Examinations will be released later \nconsidering the situation at the time The students have also been \ninformed at least 15 days prior to the examinations. According to data \nclose to 7.5 lakh candidates will be taking the term-end examination of \nIGNOU.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The IGNOU Vice-Chancellor, in his Facebook, live also informed that \nin order to provide sufficient time to the students, the dates of \nsubmissions of the assignments, examinations forms, and the re-admission\n forms have been extended by the university. Students will be able to \nsubmit the assignments and other forms until May 31, 2020, according to \nthe situation of the students due to the COVID-19 lockdown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vice-Chancellor has also assured the students that those who have\n to submit the project reports as part of the evaluation process for \nsome of the subjects, the project submission process has been made \nonline. The guidelines for submitting the projects online will be \nenlisted by the University separately on the website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With respect to the programmes which require field work and \ncollection of primary data, the exploration, and analysis of secondary \nresearch data will be allowed in place of the fieldwork since the \nlockdown has been imposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IGNOU students are therefore advised to keep visiting the official website of the university for regular updates.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Indira Gandhi National Open University will postpone the June 2020 term-end examinations.
