BJP MP Jamyang T Namgyal said the Union Territory of Ladakh is moving towards development after the abrogation of Article 370.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBefore the abolition of Article 370 there was a sense of insecurity,\n discrimination and exclusion among the people of Ladakh\u2026Now Ladakh is \nmoving towards development,\u201d the BJP MP from Ladakh said in Lok Sabha \nduring the discussion on the budget for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the abolition of Article 370, he said, for the first time in the history, Ladakh was getting its right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stating that earlier minimal budget was allocated to Ladakh, he said \nthat the funds allocated by the Centre never reached the union \nterritory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But after the Narendra Modi-led BJP government assumed office, Ladakh\n was allocated Rs 6,000 crore and \u201cnow we have to prove that we are \nhonest\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stating that it was a central government budget and \u201cif it will not \nbe discussed in Parliament then where will it be discussed,\u201d he \nquestioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also stressed that \u201cwe were going to make Ladakh a waste-free \nregion,\u201d and added after the Modi government assumed office, democracy \nhas become stronger at grass-roots level in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
