Jammu, March 15, 2020:- Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has asked the Centre and UT Administration to remove all sorts of restrictions and curbs on the leaders of Congress and other main stream political parties if the government is really interested in any genuine political activity to take off in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lashing out at the Centre and UT Administration for the selective and sponsored political activities only while putting various kinds of unannounced restrictions and hurdles in any sort of activity by the credible leadership and main stream parties, a meeting senior functionaries of JKPCC including Vice Presidents General Secretaries, former Ministers and Legislators was held here today at PCC HQ Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu to take stock of the current political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting resolved to unitedley oppose the vindictive and divisive policies of the Centre and UT Administration towards the Congress & mainstream opposition leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PCC Chief Shri G.A. Mir presided over the meeting which was attended by Former PCC President Peerzada Mohd, Madan Lal Sharma Ex-MP, Tara Chand Ex-Dy. C.M., Former Ministers Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, G.M. Saroori,, M.S. Niaz, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Kanta Bhan ( PCC Vice Presidents), R.S. Chib, Prakash Sharma, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Ch. Mohd. Akram, Rajnish Sharma (Co-Teasurer), General Secretaries Th. Balwan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, Th. Manmohan Singh, Shah Nawaz Choudhary and S. Surinder Singh Channi and others.,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting discussed threadbare the overall political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting said that Congress shall not be cowardown by any kind of vindictive actions of Centre and UT and will continue to move ahead on its settled path and ideology to maintain religious and regional harmony and fight for restoration of dignity, honour, status and rights of J&K including full statehood, rights of land and jobs to youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting criticized BJP government for its failures on various fronts, especially on economic front as well as its fundamental duty for maintaining peace and harmony in the country. The BJP Govt. at the Centre is trying to divert the attention of people from its failures, by engaging the people on unproductive and destructive paths of various kinds of social and political convicts and cautioned the people against divisive agenda of BJP and its allied forces and appeal to them to maintain communal harmony at all costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also decided in the meeting that in view of the corona virus, the proposed convention of the party on 21st<\/sup> & 22nd<\/sup> March 2020 has been postponed.
