Bhadarwah June 06 : A complete shutdown is was observed in Bhadarwah after the pictures of alleged vandalism in Lord Vasuki Nag Temple located at high altitude lake Kailash Kund surfaced on social media.
After the call of Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha and other religious organisation, all the shops of the particular community in additional district Bhadarwah remained closed and a complete Chakka Jam was also observed, while the vehicles carrying patients and that of doctors and other paramedical staff posted in different health care centers and hospitals were allowed to move by the protestors.
Protestors led by Virender Razdan President Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha Bhadarwah were demanding strict action against the miscreants who had hurt the religious sentiments of the Nag followers by vandalising the lord Vasuki Nag Temple at Kailash Kund which is located at a height of 17,400 ft above sea level and is believed to be the abode of the local deity.
However a senior police officer at Bhadarwah said, “the incident is being investigated and a team has been already deputed to the high altitude lake Kailash Kund to ascertain the facts.”
While appealing to maintain peace the officer added saying, “An FIR No 89\/2022 has been lodged at Bhadarwah Police station and a case under sections 380,427,295 IPC has been registered.”
Meanwhile representatives of majority community (Muslims) strongly condemned the act and while demanding strict action against the miscreants said that the heinous crime is aimed at to vitiate the otherwise peaceful atmosphere and communal harmony of Bhadarwah.
Sajid Mir, Sarpanch Kursari Panchayat said that the incident aimed at hurt the sentiments of a community and to trigger communal divide is highly condemnable and the miscreants should be brought to book as we would not let anyone vitiate the peaceful atmosphere and the harmony we are living in since ages. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
