Nowshera, March 02, 2020: Lashing out at BJP for its dual standard on the issue of statehood, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) said that Congress would fight for restoration of statehood and protection of jobs and land right to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a meeting of party workers of Sunderbani and Nowshera Mr. Sharma said that BJP stands exposed under the issue of restoration of statehood and failure to provide jobs to unemployed youths in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Congress would fight for restoration of statehood and full protection for jobs and land rights to the locals of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Sharma said that BJP Govt. utterly failed to deal with rising problems of unemployment in the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir, control the unprecedented price rise and maintaining peace and religious harmony in the Country. He said that large number of unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir are the victims of policies of BJP and their hollow slogans, as large scale irregularities and bungling during their regime. He said that the entire recruitment process has come to standstill due to prevailing uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir and one after the another anti-youth decision is being taken by the Centre government and UT Administration. He referred to withdrawal of 5 years compensation to youth of Jammu and Kashmir in Civil Services, abolishing of J&K cadre, cancelling of recruitment process in the JK Bank, withdrawal of Class- IV vacancies, besides failure to revoke SRO 202 enforced by the BJP-PDP Govt. in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to issues of youth engaged on daily wager, need based, contractual and other temporary bases, Mr. Sharma said that these youths are carving for want of regular wages besides others are suffering in the absence of proper regularization policy. He demanded framing of regularization policy for different cadres of daily wagers and employees of different categories in different departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting took stock of the problems of people especially those residing near LOC who are regularly becoming victims of border firing. Meeting expressed concern over increase border firing incidents causing threat to the life and property of border residents. Meeting also demanded early completion of all bunkers and clearing of pending payments of labour by Rural Development Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting also reiterated its demand for allotment of 5 marla plots for border residents in safer zones. Also discussed the plight of farmers who are under great economy distress but BJP Govt. only making hollow slogans and shedding crocodile tears for farming community, as the prices of seeds, fertilizers and cost of labour have gone too high and the farmers are not getting adequate minimum support price of their produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
