Jammu :- Today The “Trimurti Gau Shala” in Doomi Malpur, Gudapattan Jammu, witnessed a grand celebration on the occasion of Gopashtami. The program included worship, havan, Gau Pujan, Satsang and distribution of prasad.
The celebrations were presided over by Mata Santosh Ji. Shakti Pathak Ji (DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range and Mahant Rohit Shastri Jyotishacharya (President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Institute Trust) graced the occasion as Chief guest and distinguished guest, respectively. The event was organized by Ravi Verma, President, Trimurti Gau Shala and his team.
Mata Santosh Ji emphasized the significance of Gopashtami, stating that on this day, Lord Krishna initiated the worship of cows and began grazing them. Continuing this tradition, Gopashtami is observed on the eighth day of the bright fortnight of Kartik month.
Shakti Pathak stressed the importance of taking a pledge for Gau service on Gopashtami, and exhorted the audience for Gau service in every household because government efforts alone cannot serve the purpose. He emphasized that Mother Gau is the foundation of our ancient culture.
Mahant Rohit Shastri expressed the need for a worldwide ban on Gau slaughter in order to ensure prosperity and peace for all, citing Lord Krishna’s service to Vedic culture as inspiration. He urged everyone to worship and protect cows.
The event saw the presence of notable individuals like Master Vijay Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Naresh Raina,Sho Garota, Joginder Singh chib, Sho Kanachak and others.
