Jaipur, Nov 3 – Rajnath Singh, India’s Defence Minister, has pointed fingers at the Congress party for worsening the crisis of trust within Indian politics. He noted that the discrepancy between the words and actions of political leaders has eroded public trust in the nation’s politics and its leaders. Addressing a public gathering in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Deepti Maheshwari for the upcoming state Assembly elections, Singh expressed concern over the crisis of trust in Indian politics. He further emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP have taken this challenge seriously.
Singh, a senior BJP leader, highlighted the promises made by the ruling Congress in Rajasthan before the 2018 Assembly polls, questioning whether those commitments were fulfilled. He stressed the importance of individuals and organizations honoring the promises they make, emphasizing the need for consistency between words and actions.
The 200-member Rajasthan Assembly is scheduled to go to the polls on November 25, with the vote count commencing on December 3.
