Reasi, Bimpal Singh : In an innovative initiative, Distirct Reasi Police today organized one day awareness camp on Sexual Harassment at work places, Domestic violence, Drug abuse, Human trafficking at District Police Reasi at DPL Reasi
Around hundred Police Officers and Officials including ladies officers and officials of District Police Reasi participated in the event.
During the Programme resource person Ms Neeta Verma (Advocate) State President, Women Protection Human Right Mission, Jammu and Kashmir, delivered an elaborate lecture on the topic of Sexual Harassment at work places , Domestic violence, Drug abuse, Human trafficking, Legal counselling & Awareness of good Policing and Public relations through communication skill.
During the programme the resource person explained the definition, types, legal remedies available to address the issues of Sexual Harassment at work place, Domestic violence, Drug abuse and Human trafficking.
The role of Police in providing timely protection, and legal aid beside facilitating the dignified rehabilitation of victims of domestic violence.
