Doda, May 14; Keeping in view the concern and voicing over the harmful effects of Fruit juices and carbonated waters available and sold in the markets in violations to the FSSA Act & the provisions made thereunder, a team of Enforcement Officers of Food Safety DFCO Doda in compliance to the directions of Commissioner FDA J&K, conducted the inspections & lifted the samples of Beverages & carbonated drinks to ensure that all the beverages, carbonated and fizzy drinks have labels detailing their ingredients including prescribed levels of additives etc. Today, inspection of markets of District Doda was carried out and lifted 04 samples for Analysis.
Emphasizing over the compliances sh.Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety DFCO District Doda directed the team of Enforcement Officers including Sh. Amin khan, and Sh. Balbir Singh to get basic Registration/License of FSSA which is mandatory for anyone who intend to do food business. The team also imparted awareness to the FBO’s that while purchasing and taking over the consignments, they must be careful about label & packing regulations like proper implemention of the Batch no. lot number, DOP, Best Before, FSSAI License number, Brand name and to keep the products away from direct dunlight & better to keep in refrigerations. To gauge the violatiors the team shall be continuing the drive in the interest of Consumer & public in General, the team will navigate the factors of violations and book the offenders under the Act.
Moreover, the Enforcement team has kick started the compaign with a mission to intensify the markets accross the District for ensuring safe, fresh, & healthy food to the Consumers.
