Today on the eve of World Environment Day Plantation drive conducted in Ward No.51 Channi Himmat, Jammu by Rajkumar Tarkhan (General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha JK-UT, Prabhari OBC Morcha Kathua, Member Health and Sanitation JMC, Corporator Ward No.51).
Honorable Mayor JMC Sh Chander Mohan Gupta, Honorable Deputy Mayor Smt. Purnima Sharma, Honorable Coporator Ward No.50 Smt. Neena Gupta, DIG Range CRPF Sh Rajender Prasad, Commandant 76th Battalion Smt. Kamak Sisodia, DFO Sunil Singh and staff of CRPF, Forest Department and Locals were present on the occasion.
Chander Mohan Gupta on the occasion said that we are committed towards building a green Jammu, we have achieved a fairly good amount of success in this endeavour, and the same will continue. We aim to create a good sense of social responsibility towards our Mother Nature and eco-friendliness among our people through this initiative.
Rajkumar Tarkhan said that through such initiatives, we would like to set an example to our fellow citizens and particularly motivate the them to contribute to the protection of the environment as active stakeholders, who would like to give back to our mother nature by contributing to a sustainable ecosystem.
