In a democracy, media plays the vital role of connecting the government with the people. Yet, the relationship between media, institutions, and citizens often suffers due to lack of dialogue, misinformation, and competing narratives.
The National Foundation for Journalism & Media (NFJM) has set out to change this by acting as a bridge of trust. Through its Press & Media Clubs in districts, NFJM ensures grassroots representation of journalists. Through national and state-level conclaves, it provides a platform for dialogue between media professionals, bureaucrats, academicians, doctors, and political leaders.
NFJM also supports institutions by ensuring their initiatives and programs are disseminated across member media platforms, ensuring visibility and accountability.
Under the leadership of Dr. Tahir Rufayee, National Chairman, NFJM is steadily gaining recognition as an organisation that not only speaks for journalists but also works for the larger public interest.
As it grows, NFJM is expected to play an even bigger role in shaping India’s media ecosystem—ensuring that freedom of the press is balanced with responsibility and public trust.
