JAMMU, May 29: The online helicopter booking service for pilgrims intending to undertake the Shri Amarnath Yatra is anticipated to commence in the first week of June.
Scheduled to span 52 days, the yatra is set to commence on June 29 and conclude on August 19. According to official sources, “Online booking of helicopter services for the pilgrims is likely to start in the first week of June.”
The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) is expected to announce the final date, fare details, and other relevant information for online helicopter booking on its official website, “Helicopter Service at Amarnath Yatra.”
Advance registration for pilgrims commenced on April 15. Additionally, the langar organizing committees are slated to arrive in Jammu and Kashmir with loaded trucks by June 15 to establish the ‘langar’ (community kitchen) at designated locations. This year, 125 langars have been authorized to be set up en route to the holy cave.
During his visit to Katra on May 16, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha encouraged devotees to act as messengers and spread Bhagavat’s message. He extended invitations to pilgrims from across the country and abroad to participate in this year’s Shri Amarnath Yatra.
