Rajasthan : In her extensive election campaign across Dungarpur and Chittorgarh districts of Rajasthan, slated for voting on November 25, AICC General Secretary and Star Campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed tribal communities. She asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s frequent visits to the state suggest a quest for a ‘Chief Minister Face,’ which seems elusive.
Critiquing the fragmented BJP in Rajasthan, Priyanka challenged, “Who is their CM face? They (BJP) cannot provide an answer to you (the public).” Speaking at a sizable rally in the tribal region of Sagwara (Dungarpur) after participating in ‘Puja & Havan’ at Gayatri Peeth, she questioned Modi’s repeated statewide tours in search of a CM. Priyanka questioned the lack of faith in BJP’s local leaders and emphasized the need for a leader from Rajasthan to govern the state.
Addressing the BJP’s ideology, Priyanka accused it of using diversionary tactics, especially concerning religion, to sway public attention during elections. She urged people to remain vigilant and avoid getting distracted by religious matters. Priyanka shared insights into her havan and puja, mentioning that the Gayatri Mantra, passed down by her grandmother, Indira Gandhi, symbolizes the protection of culture and respect for all religions in India.
She highlighted issues such as the farmers’ protest, the disparity between Adani’s income and farmers’ daily earnings, Rajasthan’s flagship schemes, and the Congress’s seven guarantees if voted to power.
In a sincere appeal, Priyanka clarified that her visit was not to seek votes but to promote awareness. She urged people to understand their rights, hold leaders accountable, and focus on issues relevant to their well-being rather than succumbing to the influence of religious and caste-related discussions during elections.
Subsequently, Priyanka addressed another campaign meeting in Chittorgarh in support of Congress candidates and conducted a road show for the 7-Guarantees initiative in Udaipur.
