Jammu: Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sainik Samaj Party have expressed deep anguish and concern over the police brutality on Panthers Party leader and former minister Harshdev who was protesting peacefully in Udhampur.
Shiv Sena state chief Manish Sahni and Sainik Samaj Party state president Col. SS Pathania, jointly addressing the media in Jammu today, urged the Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh to immediately investigate the matter and ensure strict action against guilty police personnel.
Manish Sahni urged all parties to come together and protest against the violation of fundamental and human rights.Col Pathania said,that in a democratic nation,there is no place for a Police Raj and Police person must show empathy, concern and assure people of their co operation and service,in their pursuit of maintenance of law and order. Sahni said that the police should not try to establish their rule in the Union Territory, this is a worrying situation for democracy.
