Nation’s apex trade body, Federation of All India Vyapar Mandal has thanked Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman for her assurance during her budget speech for simplification in GST compliances which are primarily based on various suggestions given to Finance Minister from time to time. In its letter sent to Finance Minister, FAIVM also thanked her for We are also thankful to you against our demand of imposition of 5% levy on foreign E commerce companies, you have impost 2% levy with date back. Mr. V K Bansal, National General Secretary of FAIVM told that 42 months Journey, GST has witnessed many changes in law and rules. All the practical difficulties being faced by small, and medium assesses have given enough reason to have a re look on GST entirely. This has been echoed by hon’ble 15th Finance Commission of India during its recent remark and emphasis for restructuring of GST.
Mr. Jayendra Tanna, National President of FAIVM said that small traders and retailers are finding it difficult to observe various compliances imposed by recent changes. We always believe simplification of taxes make better compliance. Sanjay Bansal, President – J&K (Federation of All India Vyapar Mandal) said that their organisation is only one in India which is pushing for GST reforms since GST was roll out. We are only organisation which has suggested single point GST which is smart and thin taxation system to ensure no tax evasion. He further mentioned that traders and retailers never go to the way, which normally other segment adopts to push their demand. We never call for any street demonstration or Bharat Bandh etc. Our organisation never takes a path of Confrontation rather we believe in negotiations and discussions. That is why we sought a meeting from Finance Minister to put our suggestion on simplification on GST. Mr. Tanna emphasised that GST should have different compliance parameters for small traders as small companies enjoy lower compliance burden under Companies Act.
