Police have arrested a truck driver with his helper in the Rajbagh area of Kathua district, they recovered contraband poppy straw from their possession.
During routine checking of vehicles on Jammu-Pathankot national highway near Dhaloti Morh area, a police team led by the Station House Officer of Police station Rajbagh Inspector Bhopinder Singh intercepted a truck bearing registration no. PB06D 2312 during checking of vehicle police team recovered 26 kg of poppy straw from the cabin of the vehicle.Police arrested both driver and helper of the vehicle identified as Kulwant Singh, Paramjit Singh R/o Sultan Pind road Amritsar and registered a case in FIR no. 236/20 u/s 8/15 NDPS in this regard.
