Samba 23rd December 2020: Hon’ble vice Chair person J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Dr. Hina Bhat to day visited Common Facility Centre of Honey Beekeeping cluster Samba. She inspected the ongoing construction work of the Common Facility Centre (CFC) Samba of Master Ji Beekeeping KVIB Cluster financed under SFURTI scheme by the Government of India MSME being implemented by KVIB. She said that the Cluster sanctioned with the project cost of Rs.133.65 lacs shall benefits all the Beekeepers working in the surrounding areas in its CFC equipped with modern machines in upgrading the quality of their honey, in increasing the income of Beekeepers, unit price realization enhancement, market expansion and exploration & Technical dissemination of allied bee products.
KVIB conducted several contact/interaction programmes in the surrounding areas of Bari Brhamana Samba disseminating the schemes being implemented by it. Secretary/CEO KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadri, Dy. CEO KVIB Administration, Dy. Chief Executive Officer KVIB Jammu Division and other senior officers of the KVIB were also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion Dr. Hina exhorted the youths of the area to come forward and establish their units under various schemes of KVIB thereby creating employment opportunities for not only themselves but for others as well.
During the occasion it was informed that the J&K KVIB under PMEGP during the year 2020-21 against the physical targets of 390 units and financial targets of Rs. 1170.60 lakh has sanctioned Margin Money amounting to Rs. 2705.96 Lakhs to 1120 units, thus achieving physical achievement of 287.18% and 231.16% financially thereby generating employment to 251.28%. Similarly against the targets of 452 numbers of units under JKREGP involving Margin money of Rs. 904.00 lacs, 496 numbers of units amounting to Rs. 1296.84 lakhs as Margin money have been sanctioned till date, thus achieving 109.73% physically and 143.46% financially providing employment to 104.76% youths.
